#1,562: 311 – “Prisoner”

311 is a dumb band, and there’s nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of dumb bands, and sometimes it’s quite entertaining to crank up a dumb song by a dumb band while you’re driving your dumb car. The problem with some 311 songs is that they teeter into sonic territory that’s a bit problematic, especially when their unique blend of rock, rap, and reggae leans a bit too hard into the third one of those things. Like “Prisoner” here, which is too Ras Trent for my taste.
