The Living End

I have no beef with how this song sounds. It’s a fun, fast, punk-a-billy-ish tune with upright bass – not that you can tell. My issue is with the lyrics. Thematically, every punk song ever written is by a prisoner of society who “don’t need no one to tell (them) what to do.” This one doesn’t even bother with metaphor or cleverness. It’s the “Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight” of punk rock. If you asked ChatGPT to write a punk song, this is what you’d get.
